The 23rd of April is Audio Description Day. An important day because today we take another step towards 100% inclusive media.
The number of blind and partially sighted people in the Netherlands is increasing. This group of people is at much greater risk of becoming isolated from the world around them. This is often due to seemingly small things such as not being able to talk about a television program with friends or colleagues.
We have therefore developed a campaign for audio description together with Bartimeus Fund. Thanks to audio description, everyone can watch TV again (or go to the cinema, or visit the theater). This means that this group of people can continue to watch and participate in the discussion.
